snowflake

a single snowflake
falls, touching my

cheek, melting instantaniously from the
warmth of my skin
leaving only a cold drop of water.

such a long journey for
the snowflake-to end
it's journey on me,
so unassuming.

  1. anytime someone stops what they are doing, or at least out of a level that we are usually on that charges our time and thoughts to more obvious things like cars or work or what ever is imediatly affecting us, i find it wonderfull. to step away that is. usually when people talk about snow its how it will affect them getting to work or how its cold. sometimes they appreciate the beauty of it which is nice, but even still sometimes people point out a very different and unique interaction and interdependence between phenomena and i think this poem does this very well
